while lucky visitors might stumble across a leopard, a spotted hyena or even a stray lion. Join us on our wildlife safaris through Akagera National Park and have a look at Rwanda's impressive wildlife! Giraffes and zebras haunt the savannah, and more than a dozen types of antelope inhabit the park, most commonly the handsome chestnut-coated impala, but also the diminutive oribi and secretive bushbuck!

SAMPLE ITINERARY FOR WILDLIFE SAFARI IN RWANDA
3 DAYS WILDLIFE TOUR IN AKAGERA NATIONAL PARK
Day 1: Transfer to Akagera National Park
On arrival at the Kigali Airport, you will be met and greeted by our safari guide. You will be transferred to the East of Rwanda to Akagera National Park bordering Tanzania, which has beautiful undulating plains with dense, broad-leafed woodland, lighter acacia woodland and rolling grassland with an extensive series of lakes linked by papyrus swamps forming a sprawling wetland. Overnight at Akagera Game Lodge.
Day 2: Game drives and boat trip on Lake Ihema
You will have an early morning game drive in the park. The game drives will involve seeing hippos, elephants, buffalos, giraffe, hyenas, crocodiles and many other animals plus bird life. After a late breakfast, you may decide to have a relaxed moment at the lodge while preparing for the canoe ride on Lake Ihema in the afternoon.
Day 3: Departure
Have an early morning game drive while proceeding t back to Kigali.
